Location:
Located at the tip of peninsular Malaysia, with Java, Indonesia to the South and Sumatra to the west


Area:
685.4 sq km – Land
10 sq km - water
Comprising one main island and a number of islets


Climate:
The city is a tropical country with relatively uniform temperature, frequent late afternoon thunderstorms. Average daily temperature: 25 - 31 degree Celsius
There are 2 distinct monsoon seasons:
Northeastern monsoon (December to March)
Southwestern monsoon (June to September)

Limitation:
Due to the small land size, Singapore has limited natural fresh water resources.


Natural hazards
There are no earthquakes, volcano eruptions. However, there may be seasonal haze resulting from forest fire in Indonesia.
